Totally off my normal topics: Being that I'm a land type guy.... I know only a little about sailing and boats. I like going out on boats to fish and stuff, but if I can't see land, I'm not sure I'd feel good.
I do have friends in different places.... One of them owns a sail boat. Not a very big sail boat, but his boat is big enough to get across Lake Tahoe. So, my sailing lessons were OK, I can follow a compass bearing and all...but one thing I learned that I can carry over to many other parts of my life.
If you ever ride a sail boat...you must drink at least one Rum & Coke.
Funny thing is...in all the places I've ever been, I never actually drank a Rum & Coke. I've had German bier, Bosnia Rockie, Russian Vodka, English Ale, etc.
I like Rum & Coke. And...the fact is...you don't even have to be on a sail boat to have one.

Rum and coke is good. It's kinda like Lay's chips, betcah can't drink just one. The only mixed drinks I like are Bloody Mary's in the morning - especially if on a cruise, Rum & Coke, Jack Black on rocks, and 7&7. Everything else is either beer or ice tea.
But as much as I like being on the water (fresh or salt) I can't do sailing. Too slow and too much work to relax and enjoy.
Ok. So I"m trying to figure out the deeper meaning of your post.
Are you posting under the influence? :0)
K,
Actually I hardly ever drink. It takes too long to recover...and I don't have enough brain cells left to waste a single one.
How many Rum and Cokes did you have when you posted this?
I think you might be guilty of PWI (Posting While Intoxicated)
I learned a long time ago that a person should never e-mail etc after they've had a drink. I had no Rum and Cokes, or, is it proper to say Rums and Cokes...(how about you Engliski majors out there.)
but the thought of a Rum and a Coke sounds good. Maybe I will stop on the way home and pick some up....
