For the first time in over 30 years I'm very close to a disaster, but I'm not invovled in working it.
I'm living near the "Monument" fire in South Arizona. Being from California, I'm not used to such ineffective fire fighting....they let it get out of control and now it's buring homes.
This started Sunday, and
now it's Tuesday and it's jumping the highway and coming near us.
See you later...

You da man, Dude. Piss on the fire and turn it back on itself.
Are they doing back-burns to try to at least control the direction it's running?

Same thing happened here in 03, Okanagan Mountain Park caught fire and the ministry decided to let it burn, which wouldn't have been a problem but for the capricious winds. We lost a lot of homes but no human lives.
Stay safe Dude.
